Passenger Vehicles
There are four popular models of tire chains for passenger vehicles sold on this site.

  • Tire Cables - Tire cables are popular for cars that have spacing issues. Spacing issues with passenger cars is usually for one of two reasons. Either the wheel well itself does not have much room, or the A-Frame behind the inner section of the tire is too close to the tire. When this is the case, tire cables are often recommended.
  • RUD Compact Grip The Compact Grip is popular for people that want diamond pattern chains that are easy to install and fall under the classification of S-class tire chains.
  • Easy2Go These chains are a German made product that has specially patented devices made for absolute ease of installation. Similar to the Compact Grip, these are diamond pattern S-class tire chains.
  • Rudmatic The Rudmatic is a German made product made out of Chromium Manganese. These chain links are smaller than most to help with vehicles that have spacing issues. Because they are made out of Chromium Manganese, they are tough enough to outlast the wear of thicker steel alloy chains without breaking. This style is often recommended by vehicles such as Lexus, Mercedez, and BMW.

Trucks and SUVs
While it is not always the case, people who drive pickup trucks and SUVs prefer a thicker chain. But since not all vehicles where made the same, we have three popular models for these larger vehicles.

  • RUD Grip 4×4 The Grip 4×4 is by far our best seller. It is very popular in the 4×4 off road communities. However, you do not need to be in a 4 wheel drive vehicle to use them. They are perfect for most pickup trucks and SUVs.
  • Tire Cables Some trucks and SUVs do have spacing issues just like many of the passenger vehicles. For that reason, some people do purchase cables. These cables are just like the cables for the passenger vehicles.
  • Rudmatic When high end vehicles such as those made by Mercedez, Lexus, and sometimes the LandRover have spacing issues, the manufacturer will recommend the Rudmatic. Just like the Rudmatics sized for passenger vehicles, these are made from Chromium Manganese allowing RUD to manufacture these diamond patterned chains with small links that are made from a very hard metal.
